Christ's Children

Love One Another

Christ’s Children

Christ’s children love one another out of love and obedience to Christ. Christ’s children forgive one another out of love and obedience to Christ. Christ’s children do not go around finding fault with each other, rather they look for

“…whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise…” (Philippians 4:8) to think about in others and in themselves as admonished in God’s word.

This is because our Heavenly Father and Christ are looking for those good things in us, not for things to accuse and criticize and condemn us for.

The person who goes around seeking to judge and accuse and criticize and condemn the Bible says, is Satan, “…the accuser of the brethren.” Revelation 12:10

And all those who go about using their mouths or pens or keyboards to do the same are aligning themselves with the enemy of God and of His children. They reveal themselves to be agents of the darkness by their actions.

We must be careful to use our mouths for good and not for evil if we claim that we belong to Christ.

God is light and we must walk in the light with Him in every way and that means walking in love toward not only Jesus Christ, but toward our neighbor.

St. John asks,  “If a man says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who doesn’t love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?  This commandment we have from him, that he who loves God should also love his brother.” ~1 John 4:20-21

Heavenly Father, may you help us to walk in love toward all people with a pure heart in sincerity and truth as Thy word instructs us. In Jesus’ holy name. Thank You, Amen.
