Instrumental prayers and conversations inspired by the Word of God…”
Simply means just that~
that the song titles on the album were inspired by the Word of God.
Listeners should take the instrumental prayersong into their prayer closet along with their Bible and ask the Holy Spirit to teach them what the Lord wants to show them through the passage as they look up the reference.
Each of the song titles points to a scripture or thought echoed in God’s Word.
As you pray ask the Lord to teach you His word from the passages the song titles point to even as you listen to them.
For His Word promises that the Holy Spirit will teach us if we believe.
“For we walk by faith not sight…” 2 Corinthians 5:7
Jesus said “But when the Spirit of truth comes, He will lead you into all truth.” John 16:13 ERV’
The Holy Spirit never leads us into sin. The Apostle John wrote:
“Anyone who *sins breaks God’s law. Yes, sinning is the same as living against God’s law. You know that Christ came to take away people’s sins. There is no sin in Christ. So whoever lives in Christ does not continue to sin. If they continue to sin, they have never really understood Christ and have never known him.
Dear children, don’t let anyone lead you into the wrong way.
Christ always did what was right.
So to be good like Christ, you must do what is right.
The devil has been sinning since the beginning.
Anyone who continues to sin belongs to the devil.
The Son of God came for this: to destroy the devil’s work. 1 John 3:4-10 ERV
This is why I believe the Lord wants His children to become familiar with His Word. He spoke through His prophet Hosea, “My people are destroyed through lack of knowledge…”Hosea 4:6
My son asked why I put IJN after every song track, even the title.
I told him, “Because the Lord asked me to.”
This is how the Lord has inspired me to sign things ~although I hope everyone recognizes that our wonderful God very often leads different people in very different ways.
We must not compare ourselves with each other nor find fault with those we disagree with or for doing something that differs with our own. Loving God and each other are the most important commandments, Jesus said, and obeying our Creator is what glorifies Him.
This is very important.
So no matter what anyone says I must always obey God. God ignores what pleases humans, does not ask their opinion or worry about stats. And He forbids me do the same for He wants me to worship Him alone and do what He asks. All that matters is my obedience and whatever the outcome is not important.
When I meet Him in eternity, He is going to ask, did I meet His need.
Did I obey Him in this work.
Some say, all that matters is that He has saved you by His work on the cross.
Yes, but I must abide in Christ and do His will, Christ says in John 15 and other scriptures, and if I love Him I will obey Him (*see John 14) .
If I don’t love Him I won’t abide in Him nor obey Him. So if I just keep depending on something and don’t ever show Him my love for Him, He has no proof that I regard Him, believe in that cross, or truly love Him at all. He has no proof that my faith is nothing but hypocrisy.
In fact, He has no idea that I have read His word or know it or care about it or even want to understand it. Perhaps I am only relying on someone else to tell me what it means to be saved. Then I run the risk that Im not really saved, for if I don’t really know Christ then I have no true faith in Him, and He has said, ‘Father this is eternal life, to know You and Your Son, Jesus Christ.” John 17;3
Well, I am trying to abide in my Savior, and to understand His word and to know Him. And I believe His Spirit has inspired me do what I’m doing, and I have done the things He’s inspired me to for 38 albums now even though I had no musical talent to begin with.
I simply believed my Lord Jesus when He told me He wanted me to sing and asked me to do it and so I obeyed. He said He needed this thing from me and so His word said if I loved Him I would obey Him. He spoke and it was done He commanded it stood fast.
Thirty eight albums and it has been done and stood fast.
Now, I must simply add those initials that He asks of me, though it might cost me something dreadful, and I will be able to say, yes, Lord, I did what You asked, I gave You Thy fig.
Now The fig tree He passed in Matthew’s gospel had lots of leaves but no figs to satisfy Jesus’ need. He searched in vain through all the lovely leaves on that tree. He wanted a fig, not a bunch of beautiful leaves that day!
And so He said to me, I simply want three letters after your song titles, IJN. Will you give me those figs? His word says “…do all things in Jesus Name…”
I gave Him those figs even though I know many could say many mean things to me for obeying Him. But I love Him. And will do it. He says, “Trust Me…I don’t ask this of you for no good reason…”
I don’t do things without checking in my Bible and letting the Lord teach me from His Word. I did a Word study on Jesus’ name. May you be blessed as you meditate on some of the scriptures He gave me from His Word to encourage me.
Interestingly, the Holy Spirit has also taught me many ways to look at the phrase In Jesus name which I may share one day. But no matter how I may spiritualize it, Jesus prayed in John 17 that He had kept His disciples in the Name. I would pass trucks on the road with a company’s name and logo. The Lord would ask me, was that company’s name important? Did it unite the employees? If it was a worldwide company how important was its name? Did they pay millions of dollars to keep that name not only copyrighted but trademarked? What company that wanted to keep its identity would disunite its name? Hack off its CEO? On and on! Well, this is a theme to pursue at another time…
Here are excerpts of Christ’s prayer concerning His name that He prayed to His Father on the cusp of His Crucifixion:
"I revealed Your name to the people
whom You have given Me out of the world.
They were Yours, and You have given them to Me.
They have kept Your word.
I am no more in the world, but these are in the world,
and I am coming to You.
Holy Father, keep them through
Your name which You have given me,
that they may be one, even as We are.
While I was with them in the world,
I kept them in Your name.
I have kept those whom
You have given Me.
None of them is lost except the son of destruction,
that the Scripture might be fulfilled.
I made known to them Your name,
and will make it known;
that the love with which You loved Me may be in them,
and I in them.”

What is that name the Father gave to His beloved Son?

Jesus commends the Church in Philadelphia in the Revelation of John, ““I know your works (behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one can shut), that you have a little power, and kept My word, and didn’t deny My name.” Revelation 3:8,
"I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were cold or hot. So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will vomit you out of my mouth. Because you say, ‘I am rich, and have gotten riches, and have need of nothing,’ and don’t know that you are the wretched one, miserable, poor, blind, and naked;”
Jesus said,
“Whatever you will ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it. Jesus answered him, “If a man loves me, he will keep my word. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. He who doesn’t love me doesn’t keep my words. The word which you hear isn’t mine, but the Father’s who sent me.”
If they are the Father’s words that Jesus spoke, what else did Jesus say in regard to prayer and the Father?
“Pray like this: “‘Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. Let your Kingdom come. Let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”
Jesus said, “You didn’t choose me, but I chose you and appointed you, that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain; that whatever you will ask of the Father in My name, He may give it to you.”
